Pricing Structure

We run a simple pricing structure which is scalable depending on the number of connected printers and the classification of the printer and the plan (level) of software.

Printer Classes

There are 5 classes of printers defined, although there is no 100% relationship between the type of printer and its price-class, you can use the following rule of thumb. But before quoting always consult the On-line Quoting Tool .

  1. Small: Desktop printers and small water-based printers (example: Canon iPF Pro series)
  2. Medium: Eco-solvent and small latex printers (examples: Roland VS series and HP Latex 500 series)
  3. Large: Low priced UV-curing and solvent printers (examples: Fei Yeung UV flatbed and Flora)
  4. Wide: Top range UV-curing and latex printers (examples: Durst Rho series and HP Latex 3000 series)
  5. Industrial: Industrial and in-line printers (examples HP Scitex FB17000 and Durst Gamma series) (please note that they can be individually priced)

Software Plans

The four pricing plans are outlined below:

Express:

Basic package which includes the PrintFactory RIP without the profiling or editor features. This package is usually part of a package supplied with a printer.

PrintFactory Express is rich featured started product that is ideal for bundling with the printer. It offers a competitive toolset, canned profiles (subject to dealer contract conditions) and can flexibly grow with the company.

When the needs of the customer grows the customer can switch to a higher plan at any time.

Due to its tailored toolset the installation and training time is reduced to the minimum. Most of the functionality is explained through training videos that are available online.

Focus:

Includes the ICC profiling, editor, roll-cutter support and standard tools.

PrintFactory Focus is the adding more tools, cutting support, basic profile creation and basic automation via queues to the product. PrintFactory Focus suits most of the sign shops and gives them all the tools they need to do their job.

Production:

Includes profiling, editor, advanced VISU colour engine, flatbed cutters and advanced tools. A high end package that can be purchased outright or rented on a SaaS basis.

PrintFactory Production is for larger production plants that need more tools to quickly prepare print & cut jobs, white, varnish or work with flatbed cutters. Every tool is available in this plan.

The flexible licensing model grows precisely at the points where more capacity is actually required. From a simple configuration on one computer with only one RIP, one Editor and functions for driving one or two output devices, all the way to an extensive decentralized configuration with several editors or layout application that can send jobs to more than ten printers and cutters.

VISU color management adds a unique way of working to the product. Allowing color reproduction to be consistent, accurate and save ink as a bonus. The DeviceLinking technology allows operators without special color skill to keep the production tuned to the right color and gives color expert the ultimate control over the color reproduction.

Automation:

Includes everything in the Production package with additional cloud-based automation and quality control features. Involves a more in-depth consultative implementation and is only available via SaaS.

PrintFactory Automation has all the tools like the PrintFactory Production plan and allows to automate these either on-premises or in the cloud. When connecting to MIS/ERP systems, doing lights-out production or just-in-time nesting this is the plan you need.

Consult the comparison matrix on how they compare.

Calculator

To assist in creating quotes there is an On-line Quoting Tool that can help you creating quotes easily by filling in the configuration.

Subscription, SaaS and capital purchase

PrintFactory is available as capital purchase with a low subscription fee or as SaaS which is fully subscription based.

SaaS

The SaaS plan is charged on a monthly basis and allows ultimate flexibility in modifying, scaling up and scaling down the configuration. Additional discounts is available when 10 months are paid upfront, which will be matched with 2 free months, making it to a years commitment.

When upfront payments are made and the plan or configuration is changed, which changes the monthly amount, then this will be taken from the remaining deposit. Which means if a more expensive plan is chosen the deposit will run out earlier and when a less expensive plan is chosen the deposit will last longer.

Capital purchase

All future software updates and upgrades are free of charge during the contract duration. Subscription Contracts can be purchased with the current software version only. Previous software versions have to be upgraded before signing up for a Subscription plan.

A subscription is valid for one year, 6 months or 3 months. It has to cover all software modules. The price of the subscription is a percentage of the retail price of the configuration according to the price-list effective at the moment of purchase of the subscription.

In case of capital purchase a subscription is included for the first year and is valid for the complete configuration.
